This site has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no newsletter, and it does not ask you for anything.
What is collected
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Like any website, the server that delivers the pages keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use those logs to identify visitors.
Videos
Some stories include a video from a government agency, a utility or an equipment maker. The page shows only a still picture stored on this site. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; then the video plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.
Links to other sites
Stories link to the agencies, utilities and makers they cite, and a few link to businesses owned by the same people as this site (see Stores we own). Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If this page changes, the date below the title changes with it.
